To Whom It May Concern,

Having just completed a course of coaching sessions with Martin Johnson my company has taken on a completely different shape. I offered to put my experiences down on paper so that other potential clients can see the benefits of Martins coaching.

I have run a small recruitment consultancy for the last four years. I have never had a clear direction and whilst we have been successful in waves, there has never been a consistency to our results. At the beginning of the year I decided to find a coach to help me work out what I wanted from the business and help me achieve it.

I emailed 5-10 coaches and met with several before selecting Martin. Martin was the only coach that wrote an email back that had taken the time to read through my website, think about what I had written and seemed to ‘understand’ what I was looking for, what was even more impressive was that he was on holiday at the time.

When I met him, he was extremely positive and enthusiastic and I felt an instant bond with him over the other coaches I had met with. He had built a company on his own and spoke of several of the challenges I had experienced.

I was also pleased as I was looking for a candid style, someone that wasn’t afraid to be honest with his thoughts, which I personally feel is important with coaching.

I have recently completed a course of sessions with Martin and have seen many changes. Through working with Martin to understand what I wanted from the business I have been able to apply myself in a way I have never before been able to. I have a clear vision and am working harder than ever before to achieve it.

Martin’s style and approach has helped me time and time again to spot weaknesses and flaws in what I have been doing and suggest ways to improve them. He has also helped in giving me the confidence to believe in myself and bring my vision to life.

What I have enjoyed about his style is not that he goes by the book but relies on his intuition to get to the bottom of a problem. Whilst he does seem to have a huge array of approaches, most of the time these seem to trigger his intuition to delve deeper into the situation. This has resulted in coaching practices, whiteboard sessions, recommended books or just informal conversations.

The business looks completely different from 6 months ago and I feel a lot happier in myself.

I would recommend Martin to any small business owner who is looking to get to the next level. He has the understanding and experience to help you find a direction that is right for you, and then help you achieve it.
